We've introduced six beehives to the farm. Honey Bees are one of nature's best pollinators, but have been in decline for many years. According to Science Magazine, this could be due to habitat alterations, climate change, pesticides and modern industrial farming. Each hive can hold between 40,000 and 80,000 bees. We hope that the bees will benefit from our pastures and our pastures from them. The honey from the hives is sold in our farm shop.
