Shearing
Shearing takes place in
May and is undertaken by specialist contractors. Each fleece
is collected and carefully rolled. Manx Loaghtan wool is naturally
coloured, (Loaghtan means 'burnt brown' in Manx), and
is highly sought after by spinners. We sell our wool to an organic
garment maker in Wales, in our farm shop and can supply through the post.
